This is a video from Riley Blakeway, from a road trip multimedia collaborative mess of a travel imagery project he and some others just completed - documenting surfing in Australia (art, photography, film). It's a super rad idea, and if I could get a crew and budget together to do this, I would be sooo down (so, holler if you are). With their boards and motorcycles ready, horny to ride, they got on the open road, on the 'highway to swell', and after a bit of time in Western Australia, they headed to their true calling - a summer in the East. The open road and the great outdoors...I wish I could breathe it in too - drink that shit down. Blakeway has been documenting the trip with short films, from sharing waves with nomadic hippies and point stalwarts alike, to having bonfires with new friends. They slash, they tube ride, they bask in the afternoon sun. They exhaust themselves in a good way and fall asleep happy. What a life, eh? Word.
